Finally, Blogger team has decided to use Twitter as one of the means of publishing short updates for Blogger users beside Blogger Buzz. By following the official Blogger team on Twitter, you can now receive news of status updates, major feature announcements and pointers to cool uses of Blogger sooner.

I’m completely fascinated by Twitter right now—in much the same way I was by blogging two years ago.

If you haven’t tried it yet, Twitter is a site that allows you to post one-line messages about what you’re currently doing—via the web interface, IM, or SMS. You can limit who sees the messages to people you’ve explicitly added to your friends list, or you can make the messages public.

What Twitter does, in a simple and brilliant way, is to merge a number of interesting trends in social software usage—personal blogging, lightweight presence indicators, and IM status messages—into a fascinating blend of ephemerality and permanence, public and private.

It seems that everyone is atwitter about Twitter. Twitter has grown 600% in the past year, according to co-founder Biz Stone. Aside from telling the world what they're doing every blessed moment, people often use Twitter to drive traffic to Web sites or to promote products and services. But users have begun adapting it for a variety of others tasks.

I'm still wondering why not many Indonesian Blogger using Twitter. We are still far behind comparing to other countries such as Malaysia, Australia and India.

For the past few days I took my time to explore the latest gadget by Google - Friend Connect. It's really interesting and complete system. For Wordpress user this is special announcement on Friend Connect.

Announcing the Google Friend Connect Wordpress Plugin. This project is 80% complete, with the addition of a few lines of code you should be able to download the beta version.

Here are the intended capabilities of this current beta version of the Friend Connect Plugin:

   1. Replace the need for the user to download the two files rpc_replay.html and canvas.html from google.
   2. Give the user a member widget and a wall widget to place on their site.
   3. Allow the user to customize the widgets colors and sizing from Wordpress

To install Google Friend Connect on a Wordpress blog with this plugin, a site owner will:

   1. Make an account with Google’s Friend Connect Service
   2. Download the GFC Plugin and enter the required two id numbers from their friend connect account
   3. Add and Layout the Member and Wall Gadgets using widgets.

This Wordpress Google Friend Connect plugin aims to make installing the Friend Connect service a snap. Future versions will concentrate on allowing easier customization directly from the back-end of your site, rather than switching back and forth between the friend connect admin pages and your sites dashboard.

First release should be by Monday, December 22nd. To find out when this is released for sure, simply use the subscribe button on the left sidebar. Social Arrow will be announcing the finish of the friend connect plugin directly on his blog.

I read that it is possible to increase the traffic of your blog through Twitter.

I decided to try it out, here is the concept: Tweet the blog that link to you. In this way you drive more twitter followers and bring some of that traffic comes back to you via the link on that page.. Let’s modify things a bit and make our very own Twitter list.

Why have a list, you say? Supposedly, we are to link ourselves to Twitter sites to generate the traffic that we want. But what if we could just Tweet on each other's sites/blogs?

Entrecard is often at the top of every new bloggers list of things to try. The service is both criticized and praised by the blogosphere. Once you run Entrecard, you will have a good feel of what sort of traffic the widget can bring.

I agree that Entrecard has done quite a lot for the blogosphere, especially for new blogs like me. Blogs with less than 10 visitors per day are now having over a hundred visitors. That’s great!! But what happens when the widget is taken off?

The amount of traffic your site will receive will ultimately go down. Entrecarders will no longer see your card within their EC inbox. They will also not have the benefit of receiving a credit when visiting your site. This is because they believe members are visiting their website and not bothering to read any posts or leave comment and visiting only to drop. The spirit of blogging is rapidly diminishing. Most Bloggers in Entrecard only care about dropping and gaining credits for advertisement.
